From April 2, 2025, EU passport holders need an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) to enter the UK.

The UK government has announced new prices for visas and Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA), with the prices increasing on average by seven percent.

In 2025, several countries update entry requirements, including Israel’s ETA-IL, Thailand’s extended e-Visa, UK’s ETA, and EU’s EES and ETIAS systems.

Starting January 8, 2025, ETA will be required for travelers to the UK, including citizens from 48 non-EU countries. EU nationals must apply by April 2, 2025.

The UK extends the grace period for expired visa documents until March 2025, allowing travelers to use physical documents while transitioning to eVisas.
