✔️Eligibility for K-ETA

You must apply for K-ETA if you meet **all** of the following conditions:

1.You are a foreign national intending to enter the Republic of Korea without a visa.

2.You plan to stay for a short period for purposes such as tourism, visiting relatives, attending events or conferences, or business (⚠️ no commercial activities allowed).

3.You are not eligible for K-ETA exemption (see below).

❌K-ETA Exemptions

You do not need to apply for K-ETA if you fall into any of the following categories:

• Holders of diplomatic or official passports

• Active service members of the United States Armed Forces under the US-ROK Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA)

• Aircraft and ship crew members

• Holders of ABTC (APEC Business Travel Card)

• Transit passengers

• Registered foreigners and those with a valid Korean visa

• UN passport holders

• Individuals who are 17 years old or younger or 65 years old or older on the date of entry

1. K-ETA is NOT a visa — Approval of K-ETA does not guarantee entry into Korea. Final admission is determined by the Korean Immigration officer at the port of entry.

2. It is strongly recommended to apply at least 72 hours in advance — to ensure smooth processing and avoid potential delays.
